Last year I went on a Scrapbooking cruise out of Galvaston, Texas. It was put on by a couple Stampin’ Up Demonstrators. Which I have really never used their products because I’m not a stamper! Well they had some items set up that you could make if you wanted and you were given the products to make them. They had a cute fall hanger but I didn’t need a fall hanger so I took the supplies home and decided I could make cards out of it. So here are three cards I have come up with so far.
Inside: Wishing you a Turkey Day stuffed with everything good! Happy Thanksgiving
I was out of Thanksgiving cards so when I had my sale some ladies asked me to make some up quick. So I came up with 3 cards that they could order. Got them done in the nick of time!
I used Sketch Saturday #487 for my inspiration. Instead of a circle in the middle I did a rectangle.

This was the 3rd card I made for this years Thanksgiving Cards. I used an image from Diane’s Daydream Designs that is no longer in business. I used the My Favorite Things Sketch #330 as my inspiration.

So I had this ideal a couple months ago when I wanted to use this image. I found this saying on the internet and thought it was hilarious. I got cards made but didn’t get them in the mail so I guess they will be next years Thanksgiving cards!!
I used Paper Play Sketches #20 for my inspiration. I just didn’t fold down the upper left corner.

This is the version I will send to family members.
I had an order for a grandson Thanksgiving card. I think he is around 6 yoa but not positive. I sent her several images and she picked this one. This is a FREE image from Dearie Dolls.
I used Atlantic Heart Sketch #182 that is sketch #4 in the November Card Sketch Challenge. I turned it on it’s side and used the fence as my strip.

I didn’t get to use this image last month during the Digi of the Month Challenge at From the Heart Stamps because I just ran out of time. Well this month I thought she would be perfect to match the color scheme over at Scrapbook.com October Card Challenge. So my hubby colored her in photoshop for me to match the color challenge. I used I [heart} card sketches #123 at From the Heart Stamps as my inspiration. The paper had some green dots so I decided to use jewels to cover them up.
I have a lady at the retirement home that has a secret pal so she has a standing order for each holiday. So this will be the Thanksgiving card.

Giving thanks in all circumstances is not an easy thing to do. It is especially hard during tough times when you don’t understand why bad things can happen to good people. A good friend of mine is going through this right now and it has been a blessing to be able to watch her strength in God even when it doesn’t seem like he is working in the situation. We know he is working but the problem is we don’t see the big picture like he does. So the here and now looks devastating which gives the devil a chance to whisper lies to us “God doesn’t care” and “where is God at now when you need him?” But he is there…he has never left. Sometimes he has to let bad things happen so the BIG picture can be completed. God allows everything to happen so the circumstances you are in ARE HIS WILL. Don’t try to understand because you cannot this is when you need to trust him.
Even though I am not going through this trial watching my friend has helped me grow my faith and understanding of God’s will is not always known so that is why you have to have faith. I had hopes to send this to my friend before she saw it on my blog but life didn’t allow that….so my dear friend it is in the mail!
This card was inspired by the November Card Challenge I’m hosting on Scrapbook.com and the fact that I needed to make a lady a Happy Thanksgiving card for her Secret Pal. The Card Challenge has different categories and one of them is a Color category. The colors for November were Orange, Brown and Green so I was super excited to find this image, Autumn Critters, at Doodle Pantry. When I saw the sketch at Sketch Saturday #284 I thought it was perfect….I just turned it vertical.
2) Papertake Weekly Challenge – Giving Thanks. Thanksgiving is 28th so a card or project for that this week please or you can just make something that says ‘thank you’.
