Panda Love pink

So I almost forgot to check out the monthly image at Gerda Steiner Designs. I’m so glad I checked with a few days left because it was this adorable panda. So I pulled out some new Queen & Co paper I bought and asked my husband to color it up in photoshop to match. My printer prints darker and not always the color on the screen so the first print was more green (see 2nd version) then the color in the striped paper. So after several attempts we got the color to match the papers and that is this version! I used Atlantic Hearts Sketch #248 as my inspiration.

CHALLENGES:

Panda Love green

I didn’t want to waste the first print out so I found paper that matched it and made this version. Well good thing I did because a lady bought one of each for her nieces!

Love Sunflower

Love Always

I bought a package of chalkboard tags last year and never got around to using them. So this year I saw Kathy101 post a sketch using a tag and thought they would be perfect. Well after several attempts I couldn’t get that sketch to work so I moved onto another sketch, Tuesday Morning Sketches #336, and love the outcome. I also went with these Chalkboard tags because the product category at the Inspirational Card Challenge is Chalkboard product. I paired it with a sunflower since one of the guys at work that placed an order his girlfriend’s favorite flower is the sunflower. And every girl should get their favorite flower on Valentine’s Day!I also have a goal to use up my non dwindling supplies so the background heart paper were scraps I had.

I had two tags that would work for this design so made two cards!

Catching up with Doodle Pantry!

So I realized today as I was looking through my files that I’m way behind in posting as I haven’t posted the Valentine Cards made with Doodle Pantry images! So here is trying to catch up after the holidays…just in time for Mother’s Day card making frenzy to start!!

Valentine Monster Truck

One of my regular’s at work wanted Valentine cards for her 3 boys. This is what I made the 5 year old…..it was the perfect image for a 5 yoa boy in my opinion!! I used I {heart} sketches #37 as my inspiration.

She also needed 2 teacher cards. I only had one made so I made this one….which is similar to the other one I made a couple years ago. This card was inspired by Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 sketch #43.

Teacher for ewe

Another lady at work need a card with a walrus on it so this image, Critter Friends, at Doodle Pantry was perfect!! I used the Card Sketch #41 at Sketch n Scrap for my inspiration!

Walrus Valentine

And the last one I made for my husband! I never tell him enough how good looking he really is….so I thought this was a good way!

Stud Muffin

Thanks for stopping by and catching up with me!

I would like to play in Doodle Pantry’s Ants in my Pants Digital Challenge #3 if these count since I’m just now posting them. If not hopefully I will get to play next month.

Last Challenge sponsored by Diane’s Daydream Designs

Today is a sad day as it is the last challenge being sponsored by Diane’s Daydream Designs. (There is still one going on that I hope to enter in with a DDD’s image but we will see if I get to it!) Diane honored the challenges she had signed up for January because she had no ideal till a couple days before January that the new VAT tax was going to shut down her business. So hopefully you will come over and play in Fan-Tastic Tuesday Challengeone layer card for a chance to win a prize pack of digital images from Diane’s Daydream Designs! Now technically mine is 2 layers because I laid the panel on the black card base but I just couldn’t have an all white card…this was as close as I was getting to a one layer card! I really like how this turned out because CAS cards is way out of my norm. This card was totally inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #82.

CTS_Sketch82n

I saw it and new it would be perfect for a one layer card. I then saw the sheep and the ideal to put the two together was born!! I printed the sheep and “Love you” and then ran it through the embossing folder. The sheep didn’t look right embossed so I printed a second sheep and stuck it on top of the embossed one. Love my Xyron X!! Added some punched hearts I had left over from another project and there you have a CAS Valentine/Love card.

Love Ewe

It is the 15th of the month so you know what that means….New Digital Stamps from Clearly Digi Stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps).

CDSLWFrogSamplePic

So I took this stamp in a whole different direction! (I know…what is new, right?) Well, usually I only do that if there is some already showing it being used the way it was designed. I got it in my head that this stamp was a clear stamp made into digital and that it had already been used. So I took it and went with a Valentine theme. After my card was done I got to looking to only find out that this is a BRAND NEW IMAGE!! So I promise to use it as a F.R.O.G. image and put a sample out soon. But if you want to see how stamps can be used in so many different ways here is the frog as a Valentine/Love card using Frog Digital Stamp.

My cold must be getting to me! I feel cloggy and in a daze so not sure if I’m saying things right or not. But what I’m trying to say is the challenge at For Fun Challenge this week is BIRDS! In honor of National Bird Day which was Jan 5th. I think there is a holiday for anything we can think of! And if one holiday isn’t enough then wait till May and there is Bird Day!
