nside: Our baby boy and I love you so much! Happy Valentine’s Day.

So a coworker is pregnant with their first baby. She asked for a card to give to her husband for Valentine’s that would be from her and their baby boy on the way. So went looking for pregnant woman images and then looked for mommy and baby animal images. This is an image from Coloring Pages For Kids. It was perfect as he is a fishermen. My husband colored it in Photoshop and then I cut them out so I could position them how I needed them on the card. I used Tuesday Morning Sketches #388 for my inspiration.

I’m so excited about this card. I saw the challenge at Scrapbook Blessings Club to make a Valentine/Love card using Christmas Stash and didn’t think much of it since I had all my Valentine cards done. Well while I was working on a Christmas card using old stash I saw the perfect stickers that looked nothing like Christmas but were all about Love! I had also been wanting to do sketch #3 at the Cardmakers Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com but the inspiration hadn’t come to me till now. Rawr Valentine

This is my husband’s Valentine card. I didn’t know what I wanted to make him so while I was creating cards today I was thinking about it. He just got me some items off my internet wish lists for my birthday so I thought it would be cool to use something he bought me. Well my husband is also good at pushing my creativity and helping me try new things. I have been wanting to do more misting to get better at it and figure it out. So he bought be some ink powder…which I didn’t know existed. So when I was looking through my scraps I saw paper with dinosaurs on it and remembered this saying. I thought it might match the orange powder he got me. So here is my attempt at spritzing. I put some in a bottle with water to make orange but it really didn’t turn out. So then I sprinkled the powder on the paper and spritzed water on it. The other way is to spritz water on paper and sprinkle powder in it. Depending on how much water mixed with the powder seem to decide what color came out…red, orange, yellow. I got the color palette from the dinosaur paper.

I used the sketch from Feb Inspirational Card Challenge – sketch category…finally got it pretty close to the original!

Panda Valentine

So this is my 2nd attempt at the sketch category on the Feb Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com. Got closer but still don’t have the strip with sentiment on it.

I got to use my brand new embossing folder I got for my birthday. I made up wish list at stores on internet and my husband picked from them. This one is from Taylored Expressions. I also got to use up Valentine scraps for the striped paper. My goal was to try to use up from my scraps and most of my Valentine Cards this year were made from scraps!! Happy Dance!
