Welcome Baby

A lady requested a baby girl card for a baby shower but didn't want it totally girly. The invitation had big blue roses and one pink rose. The lady also had a photo of the blanket she was giving and it had these colors in it so that is what I went for. The flower paper for the banner had more pink flowers in it but they got cut off.

I used Sketch #5 of the September 2023 Card Sketch Challenge (original Sketch Cardabilities #85). See below for photo.

Cardstock: Bazzill (Navy-OP, Romance), American Crafts (Blue Jay)

Accents/Tools: Metal Dies (Queen & Company sentiments #2), Flower punch (EK Success), Metal Dies - leaves (Spellbinders - Marisa's Bouquet), Doddlebug Sprinkles (bumblebee glitter), Stampin' Up embossing folder (ornate floral)

Sunny Thought Kit – Annie’s Card Making Kit

Trying to clean my craft room that is beyond a disaster. There is so much to do to get it back in order. One of the things are cards laying around with sketches so I can post them. But as you tell the last few years I haven’t posted much. And this past fall/winter (2022) I didn’t even make any Christmas cards for orders. Just overwhelmed and busy. But in starting to get my life back under control I’m cleaning my craft disaster.

Here are some cards I have made in past year or two!!

I made this for an order. I used the Annies Cardmaker Kit of the Month Club – May 2021 – Sunny Thoughts. Then I made this one as version 2 with the supplies.

Encouragement Cards for Chemo patient

A lady at work told me her sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and was starting 15 weeks of chemo. She wanted to know if I could make mini or small regular cards of encouragement so she could have her sister open one every week of chemo. She just needed them within the week because she was going to see her. So I prayed because it was going to be tough to get 15 cards done in one week and God said "tell her yes" so I did. He made all the cards come together so nicely and fairly quick. She loved them and knew her sister would too!

She told me that her sister was a Christian and more of a flower/beauty type of girl. So I knew I had enough stuff in my craft room so I went looking and found so much wonderful stuff that fit what I felt she wanted for her sister.

This two cards were made using Stampin' Up supplies (I believe both are discontinued but if you have them like me maybe this will inspire you!) But they do still have the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set so I'll link my friends site. I have not used the stamps yet just the beautiful cards in the card pack.

Rainbows, unicorns and scraps of cardstock!

In 2020 I made mother's day cards using strips of cardstock. I did this because I needed a rainbow inspired card for a mother that loves rainbows! Since then I have made several different cards with the same concept.

In February 2021 I made these for a couple orders:
SUPPLIES:
Metal Dies: Sizzix (Stephanie Barnard -Stars), Stampin' Up (Stitched Stars), Creative Expressions (Happy Birthday CEDSS009)
Embossing Folder: Darice (stars assorted)
In September 2021 I made these:
The small note card "Yay" (yay is in black) was for a young girl starting 6th grade. It was to encourage to have fun and enjoy the 6th grade.
SUPPLIES:
Metal Die: Concord and 9th (Yay Dies #10373), Sizzix (Stephanie Barnard -Stars), Stampin' Up (Stitched Stars), Creative Expressions (Happy Birthday CEDSS009)
In November a friend of mind needed a unicorn or rainbow card for her granddaughter so I made these using both! She picked the pink and blue one! The unicorn given to me by my friend Ro!! Thanks Ro!
SUPPLIES:
Metal Die: Recollections Cut & Emboss (Unicorn), Sizzix (Stephanie Barnard -Stars), Creative Expressions (Happy Birthday CEDSS009)
Accents/Tools: Wink of Stella (on the unicorn to make it sparkle), vellum, Xyron X, Gina K Designs (Foam Tape 3.6m)

Card Kit done in my style!

So we went to Texas this past week for a week of craftiness! And it was just what I needed. We were snowed in so we had nothing to do but relax and play. Before the snow hit we met up with another crafty friend in the area that is a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator and she put on a little get together/card class. She had the You Are Amazing Card Kit for us to split so we could make 2 cards each. I love the stuff in the kit but the cards are not my style so I asked if I could make cards at home in my own style and she said I could. I did not think the shinny blue paper went with these colors and the design just didn’t speak to me. These are my versions made with the kit stuff! Still have a couple more to make but these spoke to me while I was cleaning so I crafted instead of cleaning!!

Watering Can Card:
I had the watering can and tulips in my die cuts and had not used them yet and they were perfect...at least in my opinion!!
I used sketch #5 of the Feb Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com. I'm also entering it into the Feb Inspirational Card Challenge - product - flowers.

SUPPLIES:
Patterned Paper - Stampin' Up (You are Amazing Card Kit)
Cardstock: Bazzill (Piglet, Candle, Parakeet)
Metal Dies: Impression Obsession Dies (IO Dies) - Tulips (die147-A), Watering Can (die155-A)
Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug (swiss dots)
Wild Flowers Card:
I originally did the design horizontal with a big sentiment stamp in the middle and two flower lying across the card. Well my first attempt one of the yellow stripes on the end was way skinner then the other end. So I decided if I turned it horizontal then it looked better. In doing so I took off the sentiment and placed the three flowers and liked it better. This 2nd card I was able to get the yellow layers more even. I used Sketch #1 from the Feb Inspirational Card Challenge (long and skinny 9 1/4 x 3 3/4 fits in long skinny envelope usually used for bills....much better to get this than bills!!) I thought these wildflowers stems #2 from Tim Holtz matched the paper pretty darn good! Was happy how this turned out.

SUPPLIES:
Patterned Paper - Stampin' Up (You are Amazing Card Kit)
Cardstock: Bazzill (Blue Calypso, Whirlpool, Candle)
Metal Dies: Sizzix (Tim Holtz Wildflowers Stems #2)

3D Birthday cards

I made this card for my Godmother’s Birthday.  I’m actually a couple weeks early with making it!! I used Sketch #3 from the October Card Sketch Challenge. Sorry the image is blurry. I couldn’t get a good photo. The bird image is 3D with several layers so that is why it looks that way.

Rainbow Inspired Cards

Another one of the guys at work gets a mother’s day card for his mom and her theme is rainbows. So I made two versions and then made it in other colors case other people liked the design.

He chose this full rainbow one for his mom!

Another customer chose the same full rainbow one for her 3 daughters!

Happy Mothers Day pink-orange1
Happy Mothers Day pink-blue1
Happy Mothers Day yellow1

I made the yellow one for another customer whose wife loves yellow and they have 9 kids so I represented that with 9 hearts and a big heart for the husband.

Here is Version 2.

Cat With Sign – Birthday

Cat Sign Birthday

So I needed a card for my co-workers wife and my niece. They both like cats so I went looking in my images and found this digital stamp (also comes in a clear stamp) from Gerda Steiner (Cat Holding Sign). My co-worker got deployed at the end of Dec and his wife turned 30 this month. I know it has to be hard without her husband so I’m going to send the card with a small gift certificate to get some local Andy’s Custard!
On my niece’s card I will place her name on the sign instead of the age. Found the patterned paper in a workout paper pad from Michael’s (Craft Smith)….trying to use up some stuff on hand.

I used sketch #3 from the Jan Card Sketch Challenge on Scrapbook.com. The original sketch can be found  Here At MojoMonday.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (Whirlpool, lily pond, Kachina, velvet)
Patterned Paper: Michael’s Paper Pad/Craft Smith (Working on my Fitness)

Accents/Tools: EK Success 1/16 pop dots, Queen & Co Epoxy white dots,
Inks/Pens: Stampin’ Up

Country Home Cards

Last year I went on a Scrapbooking cruise out of Galvaston, Texas. It was put on by a couple Stampin’ Up Demonstrators. Which I have really never used their products because I’m not a stamper! Well they had some items set up that you could make if you wanted and you were given the products to make them. They had a cute fall hanger but I didn’t need a fall hanger so I took the supplies home and decided I could make cards out of it. So here are three cards I have come up with so far.

I used Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! May 25, 2017 sketch for my inspiration.

Greatful for someone like you

I used Atlantic Hearts Sketch #187 for my inspiration.

Todays the perfect day

Inside: … for thinking happy thoughts of you.

I used My Favorite Things Sketch #318 for my inspiration.

Supplies on all cards:

Stamps: Country Home by Stampin’ Up

Patterned Paper: Country Lane Designer Paper by Stampin’ Up

Cardstock: Bazzill (Cajun, Palo Verde)

Accents/Tools: brads, ribbon, EK Success scallop punch

Hummingbird

Hummingbird - 4

I have a standing order for hummingbirds for Mother’s Day. I broke down and bought “Humming Along” by Stampin’ Up. So glad I did. Since I’m not a stamper or good at coloring I decided to stamp on paper that was done like watercolor! Then I used the dies to cut it out. I used the abstract image that comes in the die as the background. It took me a little bit to figure out how to do it since the gold was thin and when it went through the xyron it would be hard to put it on without it ripping. Finally glued the gold on some plain cardstock and then cut it.

Even though the sketch showed ink I did a die cut….which is more my style!
